A Week in Jo March’s World

If you had to sIf I had to switch lives with a fictional character for one week, I would choose Jo March from Little Women.

Not because I dream of living without a laptop, spellcheck, or an undo button. After one ink stain, I would probably be ready to come home.

I would choose Jo because she writes with courage. She keeps writing even when people question her ambitions, and she refuses to make herself smaller just to please others.

As a writer, I understand what it means to carry stories that insist on being told.
